We are seeking an Austin, Texas based Paralegal to be a key resource on our legal team. 


Responsibilities:


  • Maintain all agreements entered into by the company and help track obligations to ensure they are performed and properly documented;
  • Ensure adherence to contact templates and documentation/negotiation principles where possible and help the commercial and legal teams in identifying and mitigating key contractual risks;
  • Deploy corporate tools, templates, processes, systems, and guidelines;
  • Prepare initial drafts of and/or perform initial review of various transactional documents and corporate governance documents (resolutions, certificates, articles of formation, operating agreements, etc.) with attorney supervision;
  • Create new corporate entities; manage organizational structure; apply for, maintain and manage all licenses, registrations, DBAs and tax identification numbers as necessary;
  • Perform corporate data and records management;
  • Manage external counsel engagement and vendor onboarding process;
  • Assist with external counsel invoice approval and billing management;
  • Support the legal team by handling requests for information or documentation;
  • Assist with legal research as requested;
  • Provide general transactional, administrative and organizational support to the legal team.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate or other certification applicable to the role
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working in contract management or supporting project development, execution and operations in renewable energy preferred
  • Experience with LLC and other organizational documents and entity governance
  • Ability to interact with people at all levels of the corporate structure, prioritize and handle numerous competing demands in a high-volume, fast-paced working environment
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills with meticulous attention to detail and high quality of work product
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and diplomatic skills
  • Highest standards of ethics and integrity
  • Must have the ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, including a demonstrated proactive work ethic, the ability to plan, oversee, and personally execute numerous projects simultaneously, work well under pressure, and adjust to changing priorities.

 

Compensation and Location:

 

Salary:  A base salary commensurate with experience.

Bonus:  An annual bonus will be awarded based on both individual performance as well as the overall success of the business.

Location:  Austin, Texas. This is a hybrid role and will require in-person work.
